  • It wasn't fully her choice to send her daughter to Europe.

  • Wladimir sent papers to get custody of their daughter after she did.

  • It can be frightening to talk about the power of the family.

On Wednesday's episode of "Red Table Talk", Panettiere spoke about her daughter's custody situation, as well as other topics.

Panettiere said it wasn't her decision to send her daughter to Ukranian permanently. She said she was in treatment for alcoholism.

The "Heroes" star said he didn't know about it until she arrived.

She said she would have told him it made sense for him to look after their daughter while Panettiere was working on her recovery.

She said she would have expected the agreement to change once things got better.

Panettiere implied during the conversation that she signed papers to give her opponent full custody of her daughter without talking about it first.

She said that she hoped that Kaya would come back to the US to spend time with her once she had worked on herself.

That didn't occur. The actor said that they had an agreement with Panettiere that she would go back and forth between Nashville and Ukraine. It was shocking when she said she wanted full custody of her.

Panettiere said that children need their mothers as they get older.

She said that she didn't think she'd done anything to endanger her and that she didn't think the US would take her away. It wouldn't happen.

She said she had to go back to treatment after she got full custody of her daughter.

She said that she wasn't able to see the kind of mother she was. It might have been different if he had been there.

One day, Panettiere hopes the custody agreement changes. She said that it's always been frightening to talk about it because of the fact that the family has a lot of power in the city.

Panettiere said her daughter has become very "stoic." She said that she had to learn about the war in Ukraine because her father and uncle were fighting in it.

Panettiere said that she was told that Kaya asked other women if she could call them "mom" and that she was crying for help.

Panettiere said of her response, "My breath hitched and my heart stopped"

She wishes that she would be allowed to visit the US so that she could see her mother. Panettiere is the one who goes to visit her daughter in Europe and she said she hasn't gotten hints that this agreement would change.
