Carolina's head coach Matt Rhule told reporters that running back Christian McCaffrey is dealing with a quad injury and didn't give any answers as to whether he will be ready for Sunday's game against the ArizonaCardinals.
Jonathan Jones of CBS sports gave more information.
Jonathan Jones @jjones9It’s my understanding there’s more concern around this quad injury than the previous nicks that landed him on the injury report this month https://t.co/1HvJNFQGQb
He has 300 total yards and one touchdown in three games. He has rushed for 6.9 yards per carry and caught 10 passes.
He led the league in total yards and scored.
He played 10 games over the next two years. There was an ankle injury and a shoulder injury that caused McCaffrey to sit. He had another ankle issue that ended his season early.
He was on the team's injury report in the week leading up to the New Orleans Saints game after returning from injury. The designation was not related to injuries.
According to Joseph Person of The Athletic, the running back didn't seem concerned about his Week 3 status, even though he was limited with ankle pain.

Which is to say, he expects to play Sunday despite the ankle stiffness.
The rest of the running backs on the depth chart are D'Onta Foreman, Chuba Hubbard and Raheem Blackshear.
Hubbard, a second year pro out of Oklahoma State, took over for McCaffrey and had 612 rushing yards and five touchdown. He ran for 3.6 yards.
Last year, he took over for an injured star running back in the TennesseeTitans. He carried the load with 699 total yards and three touchdown.
The Bills signed Blackshear to their practice squad.
