Alex Hales sliced Mohammad Nawaz straight to backward point from the fifth ball of the match, Phil Salt heaved Haris Rauf to deep square leg two overs later, and Ben Duckett was also caught by Mohammad Wasim.

He took 1-16 from his four overs. Debutant Jamal only had two overs to bowl, but he took a single and showed great composure in the other to ensure that England did not win.

A very good game by the England captain. We were disappointed we didn't chase the runners. We think we're a better team than that. We were stuck with their spinners and couldn't move.
The man was amazing. He did a good job on a slow track. He is huge for us. He got the big ones. Batters can do silly things if someone with a bit of pace makes them do it.
I am proud of my team for their complete effort. We're happy to have him join the cricket team.
It is difficult to play against quality teams, but we believe in our ability. The win is for everyone.
