This is probably the Hyatt property that I'm most excited about, as I've never written about it before, so I thought it was worth a post.
Plans were announced for the Park Hyatt Los Cabos back in the summer of 2017. Cabo del Sol is a golf resort community that spans along two miles of beach. A total of 161 guest rooms are expected at the resort.
The hotel will offer easy access to golf courses, several restaurants and pools, a large spa, a gym, and a lot more.
The challenge is that the project has been delayed a lot. It was supposed to open in the late 2020s, but it isn't open yet. Who knows how long it will take for the hotel to open.
There is a video on the internet showing a tour of the state of construction. There are often issues with construction that can cause delays, but the person thinks it will be ready in 18 months or so.
Los Cabos is one of the places I like to go to. The service is great, the food is good, the climate is great, and it is also a great place to watch whales. It is close to the United States so there is no jet lag.
There is a lack of luxury points hotels in Los Cabos.
There will be more than one luxury points hotel in Los Cabos. It is owned by the World of Hyatt, which means we can look forward to benefits like complimentary breakfast, suite upgrades, etc.
In Los Cabos, taxes and service charges make up close to a third of the room rate. The World of Hyatt points redemptions are more expensive than they used to be, so this should be a good use of points.
The Park Hyatt Los Cabos has been under construction for a while. The 168-room resort is expected to open in 2023. Park Hyatt has a poor track record when it comes to opening hotels on time.
When the Park Hyatt Los Cabos opens I am most looking forward to the Hyatt opening.
The Park Hyatt Los Cabos is an exciting place to visit.
