Stage Manager is a new way of multitasking on the iPad that allows for four apps to be open at the same time. The feature that allowed it to work with external displays was removed by Apple. This option is limited to the M1 iPad and will return in a later version of the software.

Live Activities is an interactive notification feature that will allow you to keep an eye on what's happening in real time. The Lock Screen and Dynamic Island will be home to Live Activities, but you won't see them in the public.

Apple plans to support Matter, a smart home standard, this fall with the update that includes a Clean Energy Charging feature in the United States.

A visual indication of charge level was added to the battery status bar icon in the second developer version of Apple's mobile operating system. The Lock Screen charging indicator was updated, as well as the battery and copy and paste bugs.

Changes to the Lock Screen customizing interface, as well as a deletable wallet app, are some of the new features in the latest version of the mobile operating system.
