After sitting out the first three games due to a knee injury, Wilson will start for the Jets on Sunday.

Wilson, who practiced on a limited basis the past two weeks, is expected to take a full load of practice reps as he ramps up for his return The outcome would be confirmed by the doctor in Los Angeles.

Wilson will start if he can make it through the week of practice.

"He's very relaxed," she said. He's in a good state of mind. Everyone is happy with where he is.

He tore his knee and suffered a bone bruise on a noncontact play in the first preseason game. He had an operation on his knee in Los Angeles on August 16.

It was initially thought of as a two- to four-week recovery, but the Jets said that Wilson would be back in Week 4.

During Wilson's absence, the Jets went 1-2, with Joe Flacco leading them to a stunning comeback victory over the Cleveland Browns. Even though he is fifth in passing yards, he has led the offense to only five touchdown in three games.

He's excited to get back out there. It's not all about the man. We have to make sure we are executing on all cylinders.

Wilson comes back to a unit that has struggled to protect the passer. George Fant was placed on injured reserve because of a knee injury, meaning that he will likely be replaced by a backup. After being cut at the end of the preseason, he was re-signed, but he struggled in the 27-12 loss to Cincinnati.

The situation at tackle didn't make anyone hesitate to return to Wilson.

He said his knee is 100 percent. We have all the faith in the world in the guys that we have. Max Mitchell is playing well, and he has been playing well.

Without pass-rusher T.J. Watt, the Jets have not been the same without him. Watt hasn't been with the team since his first season.
