  • Kody Brown said his daughter had to decide between seeing him or her friends.

  • She shouldn't be bitter if he can't see her in person because of her choice.

  • The mothers in the Brown family were not comfortable with what Kody said.

On Sunday's episode of "Sister Wives," Kody Brown was unable to see his children because of his strict precautions.

During a call with his wives and his ex- wife, Christine, Kody talked about the likelihood that he would visit his children that didn't live with him now that school would be held in person.

At the time of the discussion, Christine was considering her marriage to Kody, but she hadn't told her former sister wives of her decision yet.

Christine, Kody's daughter who was in her senior year of high school at the time, was the only one of Kody's children who stayed at home and went to school.

She doesn't want to stay in the area after graduating. Christine said that her daughter has only a few more weeks with her friends because she is going to school in person.

On Sunday's episode, Kody remained silent when Christine asked if he would visit Ysabel when she returned to school. His second wife said there would be strict protocols at the school.

Kids would be breathing the same air for hours, so Kody was cautious about in person school.

He said that he thought Christine and Janelle wanted to catch him in some kind of hypocrisy. He wanted to see Ysabel but Christine wasn't going to allow him to see her safely.

Kody asked Breanna, his adopted daughter, to keep going to school online so that he could see her in person. Christine disagreed with Kody's decision.

She asked the cameras if he asked Breanna to not go back to school in person because he wanted to be around her. A phone call from her dad saying "can you please not go back to school in person so I can come see you?" would be ideal.

Christine directly asked Kody if she was going to let her daughter know of her options, and he made it clear that he was going to bechoosing.

In a confession, Kody said that it was an "inconvenience" that he could not visit Ysabel outside because of the weather.

He doesn't want her to be bitter about anyone else's reaction to her choice.

Kody told the women that teenagers don't need parents as much as preteens do. Truely is his youngest daughter with Christine and he prioritized seeing her because she is engaging with him.

All of the Brown women said that all of Kody's children needed him.
