The New York Times reported that Roger Stone requested a second pardon from Donald Trump.

According to text messages seen by the outlet, Stone approached David Schoen, an attorney who represented Trump in his second impeachment trial, after the events of January 6, 2021.

Stone asked Schoen to plug his request for a pardon when he talked to Trump, according to the outlet. Stone said he would be happy if Trump pardoned him and Bernard Kerik again.

After pleading guilty to eight felony charges, including dodging taxes and giving false statements to White House officials, he was sentenced to 4 years in prison.

The January 6 riot and attempts to overturn the 2020 election were investigated by the House committee.

Stone said that the man would take no heat for pardoning both of them.

He said there would be mass prosecutions after the Capitol riot. "Maybe you should be the only one pardoned twice, if he can be the only one impeached twice," he said.

Before leaving the White House, Trump commuted Stone's sentence. There were five counts of making false statements to the FBI and congressional investigators, one count of witness tampering, and one count of obstruction of justice.

On the day after the new CNN footage was aired, the text messages were reported.

Stone can be heard telling his associates to "fuck the voting, let's get right to the violence." You should shoot to kill.

Stone claims that the clip of him calling for violence is a fake.

Stone wrote on Telegram that CNN airs fraudulent deep fake videos and expects anyone to believe them.

Stone did not reply to Insider's requests for comment.
