The Polestar 3, the third vehicle from the Swedish EV company, will be unveiled in October. Polestar is teasing a few new details about the electric SUV.

Polestar is attempting to enter the highly competitive and lucrative SUV market in the US. When it comes out, it will be in competition with other premium cars like the Mercedes-Benz EQE and the Fisker Ocean. The Polestar will be the first EV made by Volvo in the US, and it will be assembled in South Carolina.

The Polestar 3 will be another example of the company's performance brand.

The Polestar 3 will be another example of the company's performance brand. There will be a dual-clutch system on the rear electric motor. The Polestar 3 will be able to switch between comfort and firm suspension dynamics once every two milliseconds, thanks to adaptive dual-chamber air suspension and active dampers.

Polestar will offer an optional Performance Pack, which will include the Polestar 3 with 510 horsepower and 671 pound-feet of Torque, along with Polestar engineered tuning for the active damper and air suspension. The Polestar 2's performance pack is included. Polestar has Swedish gold details that include valve caps, seat belts, and a laser-etched interior light strip.

The Polestar 3 will have a range of over 372 miles, with a large battery and dual motor. The Polestar 3 will have a partially automated driving system for highway driving, as well as being a higher-riding vehicle than the Polestar 2 fastback sedan. It will be thanks to the inclusion of a lidar sensor from supplier Luminar, which is also providing components for hands-free highway driving to Volvo.

The Scalable Product Architecture (SPA2), which is Volvo's next big platform update, will include a hands-free highway driving feature.

Polestar went public this summer after merging with a company. The company was listed on the stock exchange.

The Polestar 1 has ceased production and the Polestar 2 is still in production. In addition to the Polestar 3, the company is also planning on releasing a compact SUV and a sports car. The Polestar 6 will be the high- performance version of the Polestar 2 and will be put into limited production.
