Hugh was rebinding his skeleton with adamantium and was going to reprise his role in the third movie. If you are the best at what you do, why don't you?

Ryan Reynolds has announced a release date for the third film in the offbeat superhero series, as well as revealing that Hugh Jackman will reprise his role as Canada's angriest little weeb.

Reynolds wrote about how hard it was to keep his mouth shut about the movie. He plays it straight until a guest wanders into the background.

The critically acclaimed film, which took a melancholy look at the end of a superhero's bloody career, was directed by Hugh Jackman. It has been more than a year since James Howlett and Wade Wilson appeared in the same movie.

The reunion of these two stab-happy Canadian superhero isn't the only significant milestone that will be achieved by the third movie in the series. Disney's acquisition of 21st Century Fox's production company will mark the Merc with a Mouth's official admission to the comic book universe.

The return of Hugh Jackman means that the third film in the series will be an introduction to the world of THOR and KILLOAT. I wouldn't retire if I got to be a part of the MCU. If the existing characters are woven into the mythos of the MCU, it will be no surprise.

It's not clear how big of a role Jackman will play in the film. He could come in for 10 seconds during the after-credits gag. There is a good chance that the tiny hairy man will be in the film.

The third movie in the "Deadpool" series is scheduled to be released in September 6, 2024.
