It's hard for allies in high places to keep support low for the rebels. In the upcoming Andor episode, we meet Mon Mothma, as Luthen Rael goes to her to ask for more money. It makes sense that he needs more funding to lay the groundwork for future Star Wars adventures, as he just added a new member to his group of spies.
Mon Mothma assures her that her purse is open, but that isn't the issue for her as she navigates the elite with suspicious eyes.
We can't wait to see how her choices shape her into becoming a steadfast Rebel figurehead as the season goes on. She is tested to see how far she will go to support the cause because someone is keeping a close eye on her banking activities. Rael dismissed her when she asked if she could bring someone else into their inner circle because she felt "under siege." Rael asserts that they need more funding. Mon thinks she is the first to fall if they add another, so it makes sense that she would think about the risk. Tonight is the premiere of episode four of Andor.
