The year that the 50th anniversary of The IncredibleHundredHundred will be celebrated, Reynolds confirms that the third movie in the series will be released in 2024. That is convenient. Well, because Reynolds also confirmed one more thing, playing on his long faux-beef on social media with Hugh Jackman: that Wolverine himself will be appearing in the film.
It seems that Hugh Jackman's take on the character may have died in the film, but you just can't keep a self-healing Mutant down. Disney's acquisition of 20th Century Fox in January of next year will determine how the character's loose connections to the world of those movies will be factored into the third movie.
The answer is likely to be "some multiversal madness", given that the movie is set to be released a year before the movie that caused the Multiverse to break down. That multiversal madness is not what I'm talking about.
There will be a lot of things to say about sharp claws and parallel universes when the third movie in the series is released.
