There is a natural-gas eruption on the surface of the Baltic Sea above the damagedNord Stream line.

The largest one is more than 1,000 metres and the smallest is less than 200 metres.
Natural-gas was intended to be transported from Russia to Europe. Four of the system's two pipes are in total. Three of the four pipes are leaking, according to officials from the two countries.

An explosion measuring 2.3 on the Richter scale was detected in the area by a seismologist.
According to the Swedish Maritime Administration, the leaks are between 70m and 80m deep.
The operator of the line said that the destruction that happened within one day was unprecedented.
It was difficult to imagine that the damage was accidental, according to the prime minister. The Kremlin said it couldn't rule out sabotage as reported by German media.
There are air and sea exclusion zones around the leaks. A pollution control vessel was sent to the area to ward off other ships.
