Sky Sports will broadcast more Scottish Professional Football League matches than ever before and for the first time, the Scottish Women's premier league.

A new four-year extension to the current deal will mean up to 60 games per season will be shown exclusively live until the 2029 season, with scope to increase this over the term of the deal.

Sky will broadcast live from each Premiership ground on up to five occasions every season, one more than the current deal.

All top-flight clubs will be able to sell Pay Per View streams of up to five league home games per season, subject to certain conditions, with immediate effect.

Sky will show live Scottish Women's Premier League action from this season and become the title sponsor of the SWPL League Cup for the next seven seasons.

There will be at least five SWPL or League Cup matches broadcast live every season.

After six matches, Rangers are top of the SWPL 1 with Celtic and Glasgow City in second and third place respectively.

The announcement represents a major financial boost for our 42 member clubs and will increase the exposure of Europe's most exciting and passionate league.

This is an important and significant first step towards achieving our goal of paying fees to member clubs of £50 million per season.
