'Stronger' Kawhi Leonard ready to start training camp with rest of LA Clippers this week

The LA Clippers open training camp on Tuesday and Leonard said he's ready to go.

Leonard, who missed all of last season due to a torn rightACL, said in his first comments since last season that he is ready to go for camp.

Leonard said the plan was to start training camp tomorrow. I'm participating in training camp for myself. Just seeing how my progression is, how I feel, what I'm not feeling, and just keep going from there.

The plan is to begin camp and play.

The Clippers will be cautious with Leonard since he hasn't played since tearing his right knee in the second round of the playoffs.

Leonard feels stronger. It's been over a year since I played in an NBA season for the first time. Lifting weights and getting stronger is the entire process. I gained a lot of strength.

He doesn't know how different of a player he'll be once he returns to the court.

Leonard feels good in his workouts. I don't think I have a mind of not jumping off my legs. I think I'm doing well. We don't know how the season is going to go.
