(AP) _ The winning numbers in Saturday evening's drawing of the Wisconsin Lottery's "5 Card Cash" game were: The leader of the Wisconsin Assembly was subpoenaed to testify about a conversation he had with Donald Trump.
Assembly Speaker Robin Vos filed a lawsuit on Sunday in federal court in Wisconsin, arguing that the subpoena falls outside of the scope of the committee's investigation into the Capitol attack.
Vos alleged that the short notice of the subpoena put him in a difficult position. Vos was ordered to appear on Monday by video conference or in person.
He didn't say anything. The deposition wasn't done yet.
Vos said in his lawsuit that the only reason for the extreme deadline was to conduct the interview before the committee's next televised hearing on Wednesday.
Some people who have been subpoenaed have sued to avoid testifying.
Vos said in a statement that he was surprised to be subpoenaed because he didn't know anything about the attacks.
He said that the subpoena seemed to be more about partisan politics than fact- finding.
Lawmakers want to talk with Vos about a July call in which the former president asked Vos about steps he was taking to overturn the results of the 2020 election, according to a letter from Thompson.
Absentee ballot drop boxes, which were used in the 2020 election and others before that, would be illegal now that the Wisconsin Supreme Court has ruled.
Trump endorsed his opponent after Vos didn't overturn the election.
Three days after Vos narrowly won his primary, he fired Michael Gableman, the former Wisconsin Supreme Court justice who was hired by Vos to investigate the 2020 election. Vos said Gableman's endorsement of his opponent was an embarrassment.
Gableman found no evidence of widespread fraud, but he joined Trump in calling for lawmakers to decertify the election.
The new lawsuit was assigned to a federal judge.
