The hot-dog-and-soda combo will stay at its current price of $1.50 forever, according to the CFO of the wholesale club.

During the company's fourth-quarter earnings call last week, CFO Richard Galanti was asked if the retailer would look at increasing the price of its all-beef franks.

It will always be other parts of the business that are keeping the hot dog's price in the same place it's, even after joking that "lightning just struck me" after he got the question.

He said that businesses that are doing well with margin help them be more aggressive in other areas.

Chicken bake, a popular item in the food court, went up in price in July.

The price of a 20-ounce soda went up from 59 cents to 69 cents.

Craig Jelinek said on CNBC in July that he thought the company would raise the price of its signature food court item.

He didn't say yes.
