It's easier to stay in touch with your loved ones when you share a direct link to a call on the messaging service. The Call Links feature will be accessible through a banner at the top of the calls tab. The latest version of the app is needed for the Call Link feature to work.
The feature will allow users of the app to share a link to a call with a single tap. The ability to share a call link with up to 32 people was teased back in April.
The Call Links feature will support both audio and video calls, as well as being tested for group calls with up to 32 people, which is notable, as the service currently caps video calls at eight users.
As a competitor for the likes of Microsoft Teams, the expanded call capacity sets up the messaging service as such. The rival offerings have more caller capacity than the ones they're competing against. They include restrictions like call duration for free accounts, which may not be the first choice for the billions of people already chatting onWhatsApp. One of the best free video calling applications for smaller teams and personal networks will be available once the feature is widely available.
