UCF drops Georgia Tech to 1-3 (1:51)

Georgia Tech lost its second game in a row after being defeated by UCF 27-10). There is a time and a place for it.

The athletic director and football coach at Georgia Tech have been fired.

He was the coach for four years. Since last season, the Yellow Jackets have lost nine games in a row to FBS opponents.

The school's chief of staff and senior vice president will be the interim AD, according to sources.

The changes were expected to be discussed at an all-department staff meeting. There is an hour and a half later. According to sources, representatives from the president's office were going to give an update on recent changes to the staff.

It was reported by The Atlanta Journal-Constitution.

It would have cost the school $7.2 million to buy out Collins in January. At the end of the season, it would have been close to $10 million. It's not considered prohibitive to buy out Stansbury.

He was 10-28 as Georgia Tech's coach. Stansbury had been at Georgia Tech. After a 3-9 season, Stansbury brought Collins back.

He has three years left on his contract. He was making a lot of money.
