Retailers say the season to spend more than any other time of year.

According to CNN Business, Amazon has added another Prime Day to the calendar to kick off its holiday deals.

Target and Walmart are making an unexpected move to get you to spend more this holiday season.

The sale will take place in October. Only Prime members can take part in the event, which will offer discounts on hundreds of thousands of goods.

Last week, it was announced that Target and Walmart will both be starting their holiday deals earlier. Walmart's holiday return program will launch on October 1 and Target's "deal days" will take place on October 6 and 8.

Retailers hope a longer period of deals will encourage people to spend more money in the long run. Neil Saunders, retail analyst and managing director at GlobalData Retail, told CNN Business that consumers are going to start holiday shopping earlier this year as they look to spread the costs.

Are you falling for sales traps on prime day?

Customers might be hesitant to hand over their cash because of inflation. The holiday retail sales will increase by just 4%, which is less than the 15.1% growth for the same period in 2020.

The "Prime Early Access Sale" will launch in Canada, China, France, the United Kingdom, and the US.
