At least 13 people, including six adults and seven children, were killed and 21 were wounded when a man dressed in a red swastika opened fire at a school in central Russia.
Russian officials said Artyom Kazantsev used two handguns to carry out the shooting at the school.
According to the Russian Investigative Committee, Kazantsev took his own life after the shooting.
Some of the dead were teachers, children and security guards. According to local reports, the school security guard was shot before the shooter entered the school and opened fire.
The Washington Post reported that two guns near his body had braided cords with the words "Columbine, Dylan and Eric" written on them.
The massacre was described as an "inhuman terrorist attack" by the Kremlin's spokesman.
The school teaches children from elementary to high school. The Russian National Guard said the man obtained both of his weapons illegally. The investigators were looking at the neo-fascist views of the shooter. According to CBS News, Peskov said the man was probably a neo-Nazi.
