Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy doesn't believe that Putin is bluffing when it comes to his threats of using nuclear weapons.

It might have been a bluff. Zelenskyy said in an interview that it could be a reality. I don't believe he is bluffing.

Putin said last week that he would partially mobilize hundreds of thousands of reserve soldiers.

He made a threat to use nuclear weapons in a televised address to the nation.

Putin accused the West of encouraging Ukraine to shell the Russian-controlled nuclear power plant in the country.

He said that NATO officials had discussed the possibility of using nuclear weapons against Russia.

"If you allow yourself to make such statements about Russia, I would like to remind you that our country also has various means of destruction, and for some parts more modern than those of the NATO countries," said Putin.

If the territorial integrity of our country is threatened, we will use all the means at our disposal to protect Russia and our people. This is not a lie.

Zelenskyy said that Putin wanted to scare the world.

Zelenskyy said that these were the first steps of his blackmail. The world is trying to contain and deter it. We need to keep trying to get him to stop.

Russia has suffered disastrous defeats on the battlefield in the more than seven-month-long war with Ukrainian.
