Swift declined the spot in order to focus on re recording her first six albums, according to sources. Swift has re- recorded and released two albums, "Red" and "Fearless," in order to own her masters after a public flap with her former manager.

Jay-Z turned down the chance to perform himself at the Super Bowl halftime show.

In a 2020 interview with The New York Times, the rapper said that he turned down the chance because the NFL wanted control over who he could bring out for the performance.

According to Jay-Z, he was asked to perform his song "Run This Town" with his friends.

I told you to get me. He told the outlet that telling someone they're going to do the halftime show depends on who they bring. "Forget it, I told you so." It was a way of life.

After Pink performed the National Anthem at the Super Bowl, she was offered the halftime gig, but she declined.

Pink said that she turned down the halftime show because of the potential for backlash due to her political views. She told the outlet that every person that does it gets persecution.

The singer said that he would probably take a knee and get carried out if he protested the treatment of the quarterback.

Pink said that they should only give it to African American or Latina women for a while.

She told The Associated Press that she declined the offer.
