Baltimore 37, New England 26

Ravens

The Ravens were able to close out a game. The Ravens' defense rebounded with authority after the biggest fourth-quarter collapse in team history. Humphrey, who missed the fourth quarter last week with a groin injury, picked off Jones and ran it back for a touchdown. Kyle Hamilton stripped the ball from Nelson Agholor in the final minutes of the game. After failing to hold a 21-point lead, the Ravens could have fallen apart. Baltimore has two big games against Buffalo and Cincinnati coming up.

Lamar Jackson's blind side will be protected. Patrick Mekari left the game in the first quarter with a left ankle injury. Ja'Wuan James suffered a season-ending injury in the season opener, so Mekari was starting his second game in a row. Daniel Faalele was forced to play left tackle because he didn't play in college. Stanley is expected to make his debut against the Bills. Stanley has missed 31 of Baltimore's past 32 games since he broke his ankle. He has been practicing for the last three weeks.

The next game is against the Bills. The time has not yet been determined.

Patriots

The offense showed signs of promise, but the decision making of the quarterback in the second half cost them the game. It was as good as the offense has looked, particularly with the downfield passing game, as DeVanteParker was immense with 156 receiving yards. The turnovers by Jones and Agholor were too much for the team to recover from. Jones, who hobbled off the field with what appeared to be a left leg injury on his final pass of the day, finished the game 22-of-32 for 323 yards, with no touchdown passes and three turnovers. You wouldn't expect to see a decision like that from him. A win and a loss can be different.

Why isn't he more active? A total of 20 snaps were played by the second-leading receiver in the team. That was a lot less than the others. Humphrey was elevated from the practice squad one week into the season and is not as dynamic of a player as Bourne.

The next game is at the Packers. The time has not yet been determined.

Carolina 22, New Orleans 14

Panthers

The Carolina defense, which was ranked ninth in the league, is for real. The unit played well enough to win despite being short of forcing a turnover. The turnovers finally came Sunday, starting with a 44-yard fumbled return for a touchdown in the first quarter, to make up for another subpar performance by quarterback Baker Mayfield and end a nine-game losing streak. A field goal and a second field goal were set up by a fourth-quarter pick-six. The quarterback was under constant pressure. Last week, the run defense shut down New York Giants running back Saquon Barkley and held him in check against the New Orleans Saints. Sunday's performance was an early sign that the unit is headed in the right direction.

The starter should be secure. There was little to do with the win by the panthers. He had his third straight subpar performance that was saved by a missed tackle and turned into a 67-yard touchdown catch and run by Laviska Shenault Jr. He had gone 9-of-20 for 76 yards before that. He ran for 170 yards on 12 of 25 attempts. The starting job was decided in training camp. After next week's game against Arizona, the door is likely to be open for a change because of the state of the team.

The next game is against theCardinals. The time has not yet been determined.

Saints

What's happening with the Saints' offense? Between turnovers, penalties and protection issues, the Saints weren't setting any offensive records against the Carolinas. There were some nice moments, including the first Saints rookies to have more than 100 receiving yards in a season, and the one-handed touchdown catch by Callaway. The fourth quarter efforts are not enough. If the Saints want to win this year, they need to play consistently on offense.

Is it time for the Saints to make a change at quarterback? Since his back injury in Week 1, Jameis' play has been a concern. Dennis Allen said he didn't consider making a change in Week 2 because there wasn't much improvement in Week 3. With a long trip to London ahead, it's hard to see how his back problem will improve by next week. Even if it's just to give the offense a rest, making a change to Andy would give the offense a boost.

The next game is against the Vikings. The time has not yet been determined.

Cincinnati 27, N.Y. Jets 12

Bengals

The Cincinnati offense woke up in a 27-12 win over the New York Jets. In the first two games of the season, the offense couldn't score a first-half touchdown, but on Sunday it did. At the end of the year, the quarterback looked like he did at the beginning. Cincinnati needed a performance like this to get its first win of the year.

The running game should be concerned. It's time to be concerned about the ground attack. Through the first three games, it has been very poor. Cincinnati struggled to get anything going with running back Joe Mixon on Sunday against New York. Perine ran past Mixon's 24 yards on 12 carries in the fourth quarter. As the season goes on, it's something to keep an eye on.

The next game is against the Miami Dolphins. The time has not yet been determined.

Jets

The Jets were supposed to improve on defense. They spent a lot of money on free agents and used two first-round picks to improve a unit that ranked 32nd. The plan isn't working out as the defense continues to underachieve After smelling blood, the Jets thought they could join the sack party, but they only registered two sacks and were shredded for over 300 passing yards and three touchdown. The most prolific first quarter in Burrow's career came in the first two games. Penalties, bad tackling, and the weekly coverage mix-up contributed to the Jets' downfall. They were caught off guard by the Bengal's attack at the beginning. When Williams was caught on camera yelling at Whitecotton, he was frustrated.

Can he save the season? A source said that Wilson is expected to be cleared in the coming days. He should be able to start next week. There is no quarterback controversy. Out of miracle finishes, Joe Flacco committed three turnovers and was unable to escape the rush. Wilson's mobility will help the offensive line, but he's rejoining an offense that hasn't established its running game. It could be difficult for the second year quarterback.

The next game is at theSteelers. The time has not yet been determined.

play

Joe Burrow threw a touchdown pass to Ja'Marr Chase in the second quarter.

Indianapolis 20, Kansas City 17

Colts

Indianapolis overcame a recurring theme to notch their best moment of the season for coach Frank Reich and quarterback Matt Ryan. The Colts upset the Chiefs and moved to 1-1-1 after they mounted a game winning drive.

Despite their blocking issues, the Colts can create offensive consistency. The Colts' offensive line has struggled more this season than at any other point in Reich's tenure. The immobile Ryan is having a hard time dealing with the consistent pressure, evidenced by his seven turnovers, the most through three games since 2011. The Colts are going to have to be stable up front.

The next game is against theTitans. The time has not yet been determined.

Chiefs

The rest of the offense will not always be able to cover for a lot of mistakes. The quarterback was 20-of-35 for 262 yards and a touchdown. The Colts were able to hang around because of the missed kicks, fumbled punt and failed fake field goal. There are a lot of things to clean up before the game.

Is the Chiefs worried about their special teams? It's probably not. Skyy Moore had a rough day as a punt returner and Matt Ammendola missed a field goal and an extra point in Indianapolis. The Chiefs were aware that Moore may have a learning curve. He should get more experience as his judgement improves. When Harrison Butker comes back from his ankle injury, the kicking situation will benefit. If Butker isn't ready to return, the Chiefs might have a new kicker.

The next game is at the Buccaneers. The time has not yet been determined.

Tennessee 24, Las Vegas 22

Titans

The opportunity for everything else was opened by the fact that the TITANS got DERRICK HENRY. Henry was able to finish runs with a little more oomph because of his sense of separation. He had 20 runs for 85 yards and a touchdown and five catches for 58 yards. The ground game helped set up the pass game. Ryan Tannehill's longest completion was a 41-yard pass to Robert Woods that set up the second touchdown. Tannehill's only touchdown pass came on Tennessee's first drive, when he hit Swaim for a two-yard score. Henry had three catches, which was one short of his career high.

What will the secondary look like in the future. The game started with a couple of players at the corner. TheTitans went to their first nickel package when Terrance Mitchell came in. The fact that Mitchell was picked up off the practice squad earlier in the week was a surprise. Mack Hollins caught a 9-yard touchdown pass from Mitchell in the fourth quarter. When theTitans entered training camp, Farley was the starter opposite Fulton, but he was replaced by McCreary. As part of the first nickel package during camp, Ugo Amadi became the nickel. The Colts will be coming to town next week and the Titans will need to figure out a way to stop them.

The next game is at the Colts. The time has not yet been determined.

Raiders

The Raiders have yet to win a game under the new management. Since arriving in Las Vegas, first-year coach Josh McDaniels has said that he needs to learn how to win. Learning how not to lose is enough. With a stacked roster and a good work ethic, the Raiders are not reaping any rewards, even though they nearly won the game. It ended with three straight losses to start the season.

The season is just three weeks old. Since 2000 only one team that has started a season 0-3 has made the playoffs. The best receiver in the league in Davante Adams was not enough to get the Raiders into the playoffs. After starting 6-0 in Denver in 2009, the Broncos are up next before a Monday night game against the Kansas CityChiefs. Is 0-5 really going to happen?

The next game is against the Broncos. The time has not yet been determined.

Chicago 23, Houston 20

Bears

Despite Chicago grinding its way to its second win of the season, the same concerns about the offense and quarterback are still present. Fields had a day in which he had two turnovers and two picks. Cole Kmet was open over the middle of the field on Fields' first interception. Fields threw the ball when he was surrounded by three defenders. Given the way the game was called, the Bears have concerns about their quarterback's ability to execute.

Can the Bears keep riding their run game and defense? David Montgomery left the game in the first quarter with injuries to his knee and ankle and was replaced by Khalil Herbert. The Bears' run game, which finished with 281 yards, was the failsafe for this offense and a quarterback who completed only eight passes, but it's going to be difficult to win many games when the offense is one-dimensional. The Bears kicked a game-winning field goal after a huge stop by the defense. It's likely that riding that unit will lead to staying afloat.

The next game is at the Giants. The time has not yet been determined.

Texans

The three rookies flashed promise in the loss. Dameon Pierce scored his first career rushing touchdown as he ran for 80 yards for the Texans. If he wants to build on the performance, he needs to correct the two fumbled balls. According to Next Gen Stats, Stingley had a touchdown-saving tackle on a Bears running back in the third quarter.

Is the run defense going to get better? The run defense of the Texans is not performing well. Herbert scored both of his touchdown runs. The Texans have allowed over 600 yards on the ground in the first three weeks. The Texans' pass defense forced two turnovers. The only way the Bears could beat the Texans was if they ran the ball. The Texans have yet to get their first win of the season.

The next game is against the Bolts on Sunday. The time has not yet been determined.

Philadelphia 24, Washington 8

Eagles

The Eagles' defense has been playing well as of late. The quarterback was sacked a career-high nine times. He was affected by all of the punishment as he often missed out on opportunities. In the opener against the Lions, the Eagles' defense struggled, but has been great the past two weeks. Philadelphia is looking like a legit contender with the defense up and running.

What is the top receiver in Philadelphia? When A.J. Brown went off for 10 catches and 155 yards in the first week of the season, he seemed to be the one to beat. He had 169 yards and a touchdown in the game against Washington. He had 156 receiving yards in the first half, which was the most by an Eagles player in any half. The Eagles have not been this well set up at receiver since Owens arrived.

The next game is against the Jags. The time has not yet been determined.

Commanders

Washington wanted to create a dominant offensive line. The Commanders failed and as a result, the quarterback was sacked nine times. Even though the loss goes beyond the line, the impact on Wentz was severe. If he holds the ball, there is trouble. He rushed his throws because of pressures. Washington doesn't have a power run game to use. The Commanders will need more than just good players to win.

Where is this team going? The past six quarters have seen Washington look terrible. Big plays have allowed it to generate little offense. It's early, and the Commanders are 1-2, but after playing so poorly, it's fair to wonder what will happen if they don't win at Dallas on Sunday. The offensive line was not good and the defense lacked depth. There is a perilous time for Washington.

The next game is at Cowboys. The time has not yet been determined.

Miami 21, Buffalo 19

Dolphins

Even though the Bills did their best to keep Miami's offense off the field, they were unable to prevent the Dolphins from taking over the division lead. The Dolphins showed how fast their offense can change the outcome. Facing third-and-22, quarterback Tua Tagovailoa found receiver Jaylen Waddle for a 45 yard gain and set up the go-ahead touchdown. Tagovailoa continued to prove he can push the ball downfield effectively, hitting all three of his passes of 20 or more air yards. There could be something here in Miami.

How far can the Dolphins win? The Dolphins started the season with three straight victories, including a statement win over the Super Bowl favorites in Buffalo. They will face the Jets, Vikings, Vikings, Lions, Bears, Cleveland and Texans before the end of the season. It's possible that Miami could have 10 wins before the end of the year.

The next game is at the Cincinnati Reds. The time has not yet been determined.

Bills

The Buffalo Bills lost a close game to the Miami Dolphins due to injuries and missed opportunities. The Bills had to deal with seven players missing time or leaving the game due to injury this year, and six of them started a game. Josh Allen, who became the first player in franchise history to attempt 60 passes, made a late comeback attempt after the Bills blocked a punt, but the Bills ran out of time to set up a potential game winning field goal.

What will happen to the Bills secondary, which has been decimated by injuries? The Bills have a major problem in their secondary going forward, with safety Jordan Poyer out for the season with a foot injury, and other players dealing with injuries. Taron Johnson has played in the defensive backfield before. It's possible that looking outside for help is necessary. The Bills have not allowed three completions of 20 or more air yards in a single regular-season game since the start of the 2021.

The next game is at the Ravens. The time has not yet been determined.

play

The Dolphins got even when Tua Tagovailoa threw a laser pass.

Minnesota 28, Detroit 24

Vikings

After the Philadelphia Eagles took an early lead against them in Week 2, the Vikings' offense never got off the ground. The Lions were up 14-0 early in the second quarter and then 24-14 at the end of the fourth quarter. KirkCousins took advantage of mismatches with K.J.Osborn and the Vikings scored the final 14 points of the game. This team has a big difference between 1-2 and 1-2.

Dalvin Cook will be out for a while. Cook injured his shoulder late in the third quarter and was unable to play. Cook has dealt with injuries and that's why the Vikings kept Mattison on their roster. The Vikings' offense isn't as good without Cook, as he showed on Sunday with 94 yards and a touchdown on 17 carries before the injury. Kevin O'Connell said Cook is day to day.

The next game is at the Saints. The time has not yet been determined.

Lions

The Lions had a chance to end their 10-game road winless streak with back-to-back victories, but they couldn't. They came out of Minnesota with a 1-2 start after blowing a 10 point lead. The opportunity for Detroit to make a statement about changing a losing culture was ruined when Osborn scored with 45 seconds left in the game.

Is this the kind of thing that the fans of the man should expect? He is one of the most improved players on the roster and nobody is asking him to be the best quarterback in the league. The Lions had a 10-point lead in the third quarter but couldn't close it out. Ben Johnson has a strong offensive line and is able to call plays.

The next game is against the Seahawks. The time has not yet been determined.

Thursday

Cleveland 29, Pittsburgh 17

Browns

The Browns desperately need a receiver and Cooper is their top one. It was the first time in nine years that Cooper finished with more than 100 yards receiving and a touchdown. The vaunted running game is not the only thing that makes the Cleveland offense more than just itsvaunted passing game.

The defensive attrition can be overcome by the Browns. Cleveland lost a lot of players defensively. Anthony Walker had to be carted off the field. Owosu- Koramoah went to the locker room with a groin injury. Jadeveon Clowney was already out due to an ankle injury. There's enough talent to overcome the injuries. There are several talented opposing quarterbacks on the schedule.

The next game is at the Falcons. The time has not yet been determined.

Steelers

For the second week in a row, the run defense gave up more than 100 yards, and the pass rush lacked intensity. At the end of October, Watt is likely to come back, and the Steelers have to find a solution to their defensive problems. Without him, it will be a long month.

The offense produced in the first half. It was no on Thursday. In the first half, the Steelers moved the ball well. In the first half, Trubisky completed 9-of-13 passes, the longest of which was a 36-yard pass to George Pickens. At the half, the Browns were outrushed 88-79 by theSteelers. In the third quarter, Trubisky went 5-of-8 for 34 yards and the team picked up just 16 rushing yards. The Steelers have to make some adjustments if they're going to build on the first-half momentum, even though Mike Tomlin said after the loss he was not considering a change in quarterback or play caller.

The next game is against the Jets. The time has not yet been determined.
