Pakistan defeated England by three runs in the fourth and final Twenty20 match of the series.
The tourists needed nine runs from 12 balls to win the match after Liam Dawson smashed 24 runs off the 18th over.
After an absorbing match, Pakistan's way the following over was to leave England nine down and needing four runs to win.
There were scenes of jubilation among the crowd when Number 11 Reece Topley was run out in the final over.
Pakistan reached 166-4 with the help of 88 from Mohammad Rizwan.
Two of Pakistan's three sixes came from Asif Ali in the final over, which proved crucial, as England restricted Pakistan to just three sixes.
After two overs, England had been reduced to 14 3.
Harry brook hit 34 from 29 balls and Ben Duckett 33 from 24 to lead the recovery, but England continued to lose ground.
He looked inconsolable as Pakistan hit back to bowl England out for 163 and seal the victory.
The teams will play the fifth T20 in Pakistan on Wednesday.
The first three games of this series have been one-sided, but the pulsating nature of this match will prove to be excellent preparation for the T20 World Cup.
It was a battle of contrasting batting approaches with Pakistan's opening pair of Babar and Rizwan making 36 and 28 respectively.
Things looked ominous for England when the hosts reached 220-0 at the halfway stage but, after setting that platform, Pakistan failed to push on, mustering just three fours and no sixes between the 12th and 19th overs.
After dropping a simple chance to dismiss Brook on four, spinner Mohammad Nawaz shone with the ball, taking 3-35, including the crucialwicket of England captain Moeen Ali for 29
Seamer Mohammad Hasnain was excellent in taking 2-40, though the 22-year-old's inexperience told when he sent down several poor deliveries and a no-ball.
The game was back in Pakistan's favor after some great death bowling from Rauf.
