The Iranian government cut off internet access after the death of a woman. Amini died in custody after being arrested by Iran's morality police. Protests resulted in a government shutdown of the internet and social media.

School buses in the US will have internet access. The New York Post reported that the FCC chairman wanted to use funding for schools and libraries to equip buses with internet.

The FCC was urged to make Starlink equipment accessible on school buses in a letter sent this week. The goal is to bridge the country's digital divide or provide internet access to millions of Americans who don't have internet access at home.

Given that they've already slowed this year, it's not clear how it will keep up internet speeds. The website has reached out to the company.
