The new name for the phone could be "Ultra", replacing the current "Pro Max" brand. Mark Gurman is an Apple tracker and he expects the iPhone 15 to have bigger changes.

Adding Ultra branding to the iPhone lineup wouldn't be much of a surprise since the Pro Max name first appeared with the iPhone 11 in 2019. Apple added the name to its M1 Ultra processor after it launched the new watch with the name. The name of the phone was changed to the iPhone 14 Plus.

The iPhone 14 isn't even a month old yet, but other rumors about the iPhone 15 have begun floating around. According to Ross Young, the Dynamic Island could be standard on all models of the iPhone 15. It is rumored that the next iteration of the phone will come with a different port than the one Apple uses. According to Gurman, the company has started testing the new feature ahead of the EU's implementation of a law that will require all new phones to haveusb-C ports by fall 2024.

I think Apple should replace Pro Max with Ultra because it sounds better. I don't know if Apple is getting rid of the Max branding or if it is going to reserve the name for tech that falls between the Pro and Ultra tiers. It will be interesting to see if Apple makes any changes to the name of the device when there is a second generation.

With the launch of the iPhone 14 out of the way, Apple is planning to release a number of new Macs, including upgraded M2 and M2 Pro Mac Minis, M2 Pro and M2 Max 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pros, and M2 11-. The company might not hold a keynote next month. Gurman thinks Apple may release its products in less exciting formats.
