The best of Markelle Fultz's 2021-22 season (2:19)

Take a look at last season's best plays from Markelle Fultz. There is a time and a place for it.

Markelle Fultz is out indefinitely after breaking his big toe.

Fultz will not need surgery, according to the Magic. The team did not say when Fultz would be back, but the newspaper reported that he would miss training camp.

The team said that his return to play will depend on how he responds to rehabilitation and treatment. He is the second key backcourt player to have an injury in the off season.

Fultz missed most of the past two seasons because of an injured knee. He returned to the Magic in February and played in 18 games and averaged 10.8 points and 6.0 assists.

Over the course of five injury-plagued seasons, the No. 1 overall pick of the 76ers has averaged just over ten points and five assists. Fultz was slowed by a shoulder injury that eventually was diagnosed as a nerve problem that affected his right arm and hand.

Fultz signed a $50 million contract extension with the Magic in December of 2020. The Magic will have their media day on Monday.
