Packers Rumors: David Bakhtiari Likely to Return vs. Bucs After Knee Injury Recovery

The three-time Pro Bowl offensive tackle will make his season debut on Sunday.

After missing the previous two games because of a knee injury, Bakhtiari is expected to play in the third game of the season.

Concerns have been raised about his knee because of his limited playing time. He tore his knee in practice leading up to the Packers' regular-season finale.

The Packers activated Bakhtiari from injured reserve before their Week 18 game against Detroit. He played 40 percent of the offensive snaps in the game, but was not in the lineup for the game against the 49ers.

The general manager told reporters at the start of training camp that he had a third operation on his knee.

The situation has been a nightmare for him and he doesn't know how long it has been. He said the third surgery was unrelated to his knee.

It's been my nightmare so I have to live with it.

Bakhtiari was placed on the physically unable to perform list at the beginning of camp. The team wasn't going to rush him back after he was activated.

Since the start of the regular season, Bakhtiari has missed one day in each of the last two weeks. He is listed as questionable on the injury report.

One of the best left tackles in the league has been selected by the Packers in the fourth round. He was named to the Pro Bowl in three of the last four years.
