According to a source, the son of a former NFL quarterback will start at quarterback for the Colorado Buffaloes.

The team tries to spark an offense that has scored only 30 points in three losses and ranks 125th in the nation in pass offense. After opening the season as the starting quarterback, Lewis was replaced by Tennessee transfer J.T. Shrout in the second week of the season. Both Shrout and Lewis had little success in the 49-7 loss to Minnesota. The quarterback came in and threw for 52 yards.

According to the Boulder Daily Camera, he would start against the Bruins.

He was a three-star recruit out of Texas.

Colorado athletic director Rick George said after the Minnesota loss that the program would continue with Karl Dorrell as coach, but that the team had not come close to meeting expectations.
