The franchise is returning with vengeance. After some start-and-stop filming due to covid-19, we will have The Witcher: Blood Origin later this year, as well as the third season of The Witcher.
Geralt tried to keep Princess Cirilla safe by taking her to the stronghold of Kaer Morhen. After being taken hostage by Fringilla and other people, Yenefer escaped and met up with Jaskier. Geralt tried to find out more about the monsters that appeared in the land when Yen and Jaskier worked together.
At the end of the season, Geralt, Yenefer, Ciri, and Jaskier all met up again, and it was discovered that Ciri has the power of the interplanar portals. The demon was beaten, a price was put on Ciri's head, and Yennefer got her magic back. Jaskier didn't seem to be that important. The show wasted Joey Batey's charisma by not putting him in the second season. Emhyr, the emperor of Nilfgaard, showed up and revealed that he was the father of Ciri, either he would conquer it or find her. There is a lot going on in the third season.
