For the first time in its history, a Wisconsin Frank Lloyd Wright home is available for sale.
The house at 1425 Valley View Drive went on the market last week.
The home was designed and built in the Usonian style. The United States of North America was referred to by Wright as "Usonia". A one-story home with a low, horizontal roof is geared toward the middle class.
There are six bedrooms and 6.5 bathrooms in the house. It is 4,978 square feet and is located on the bluff of a ravine overlooking the Root River and the park.
The median home price in Mount Pleasant is $300,000 and the property is $725,000.
More than 500 architectural works were built by Wright in his lifetime, according to his foundation. The American Institute of Architects named him the greatest American architect of all time.
