Clinton compared Trump's rally in Ohio to Hitler's speeches, according to Fox News.

At the Texas Tribune Festival in Austin on Friday, Clinton made a reference to Hitler's speeches where people raised their arms in the air.

Clinton said that as a student he tried to figure out how people were brought in by Hitler. I watched newsreels and saw people shouting and raising their arms while a man stood up and ranted. I wondered what had happened to these people.

Clinton drew a comparison between Trump's event in Ohio and the former president's supporters' gesture as he stumped for an Ohio Senate candidate. The crowd at the rally in Ohio raised their hands as a song was played.

"You saw the rally in Ohio the other night, Trump is there for more than an hour, and you have rows of young men with their arms raised," she stated. I didn't know what was happening.

Trump's post-presidency office did not respond to Insider's request for comment on Saturday morning, but a spokesman for the former president described Clinton's comments as "some of the most disgusting smears imaginable."

"It seems like Hillary Clinton's basket of deplorables has run out of steam, not unlike herself," said a Trump spokesman. It is cementing her legacy of cringe.

The "Heil Hitler" salute used by the Nazis was compared to by New York State Senator Anna Kaplan.

"I talk a lot about the importance of learning the history of the Holocaust, so that we don't repeat history's darkest chapter ever again, and the horrifying images from these events remind us that we have a lot more work to do yet."

According to a video, security staff at the rally tried to stop people from doing the salute. The security staff fanned out and told people to take their hands out of their pockets.
