The brand and assets of Arena Travel have been acquired by Leger Shearings Group.

All holidays will go ahead as a result of the deal.

LSG will acquire the special interest and touring travel company's database, web domain and social media pages.

Fifty permanent employees will keep their jobs and three Arena Travel offices will be taken over by LSG.

Travel Arena has been in business for more than 45 years and has a focus on river cruises and escorted holidays.

The Boxwood and Art Pursuits brands operate cultural and garden tours. The company operates unique events in partnership with the band Queen's fan club and has a music and events division.

Leger Shearings Group was able to acquire the Arena assets and protect jobs during these challenging times. Customers who booked with Arena Travel will be able to take the same holiday we are giving them.

Arena's very specialist holidays will add a new high-end aspect to our current portfolio.

Leger Shearings Group will become one of the largest escorted tour companies in the UK thanks to this deal.

Following the acquisition, Steve Goodenough will remain in his position.

Arena Travel was very successful prior to the Pandemic but it came out of Covid battered and bruised.

Arena Travel is working with the Leger Shearing Group to rebuild the business with the support and security of a large company. The holidays our customers have booked will take place without interruption.

Leger Holidays acquired the assets of Shearings in June 2020.
