J.R. Majewski said his lips and records are sealed on the matter.
According to military records obtained by the outlet, Majewski lied about his service in Afghanistan in order to get a promotion. Some top- secret documents that Majewski has access to tell a different story, according to him.
Majewski told his supporters that all of his deployment were listed as classified.
He said that the Air Force could not confirm whether he went to Afghanistan or not, and that the reporting was part of a plan to bring him down.

Majewski would have been a recipient of the Combat Action Ribbon if he had been in combat in Afghanistan. The citation on the awardee's record is the only thing that can be nixed from the release of the award itself.
Aircrews who fly into, within or out of Afghanistan for at least 30 days are required to earn the Afghanistan Campaign Medal. There is no record of Majewski receiving the Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary Medal, which is given to troops, including aircrews, who have deployed abroad in support of the Iraq or Afghanistan wars.
This award is common among veterans who served in the Afghanistan and Iraq wars, and public data shows that Majewski worked as an airman in support of various wars.
Majewski's campaign did not respond to Insider's inquiry.
