It's possible that Taylor Swift won't headline one of the biggest events of the year.

Variety reported Friday that Swift would be performing at the Super Bowl.

According to sources with direct knowledge of the situation, Swift won't be performing in Arizona.

The reports come after the National Football League signed a multi-year deal with Apple Music.

Swift's fans immediately speculated that she would headline the halftime show. Swift is known for releasing albums at midnight. She is releasing a new album called Midnights on October 21st.

Swift's contract with Coca-Cola prevented her from performing in the Super Bowl halftime show.

The situation seems to be very much up in the air, and if Swift headlines the halftime show, she will be one of the biggest female singers to ever do so.

State Farm Stadium is the home of the Arizona Cards and will be the site of Super Bowl LVII.
