If two more Democrats are elected to the U.S. Senate, the Democrats will codify the right to an abortion into law.
"If you give me two more senators in the United States Senate, I promise you, I promise you, we're going to codify abortion and make it the law of the land," Biden said at the headquarters of the country's largest union.
At a Democratic National Committee event, Biden urged supporters to consider the issues on the ballot, including abortion, social security and gun control.
Biden said that the power to get things done was in the hands of the Americans. The Republicans don't have a clue about the power of women. They're about to find out.
The Supreme Court decision in June overturned the right for women to have an abortion almost fifty years earlier than in the case of Wade.
According to data collected by The New York Times, 13 states have enacted an all-out ban on abortions. Almost half of the states have tried to ban abortion. Lindsey Graham proposed a ban on abortions after 15 weeks of a pregnant woman's life.
McConnell argued that it should be left to the states.
If Republicans gain control of the legislature, they will try to ban abortion, according to Biden.
The president said he would veto it if they did so.
