Udoka is facing a significant financial penalty, but it's not clear if the suspension will be paid.

There is no clear guidelines for Udoka's future with the organization.

Reports surfaced earlier this week that the Celtics were considering a significant suspension for Udoka over an intimate, consensual relationship he had with a female staffer, but the Athletic later reported a woman told the organization that Udoka was making unwanted comments towards her.

Brad Stevens, the team's president of basketball operations, became emotional as he slammed online rumors that wrongly identified women in the organization as having a relationship with Udoka.

Udoka has accepted the suspension, according to Grousbeck.

Grousbeck thinks the suspension is appropriate.

The suspension of Udoka shocked NBA watchers after he led the Celtics to the NBA Finals last season. The team was knocked out in the first round of the playoffs in 2021. The Celtics hadn't made the finals since 2010.

The Celtics will have an interim head coach for the 2022-23 season, who will be named by the end of the year.
