A protester is taken off the court during the Laver Cup
The protester came on court during the second match on the opening day of the Laver Cup in London

A protester set his arm on fire when he ran on the court and briefly stopped play during the Laver Cup at the O2 Arena in London.

The young man, wearing a T-shirt with the message 'End UK private jets', was quickly removed by security and taken into custody.

He was arrested and police were handling it, according to the organizers.

There was a fight before the second set of the match.

The Greek world number six said it came out of the blue. I have never seen an incident like this on court. I hope he's doing well.

There have been incidents at the Australian Open and French Open this year.

During the Australian Open men's singles final in January, a protester carrying a banner reading "Abolish refugee detaining" jumped on the court.

The French Open semi-finals were interrupted by a protester. She knelt next to the net post and tied something around her neck.

There was a brief delay before the match resumed.

After winning the first set, the Greek went on to win the second and third sets and the match.

The win gave Europe a 2-0 lead in the three-day team event after the world number two won against Jack Sock in the opening match on Friday.

The final match of Roger Federer's career will take place when he plays with Spain's Rafael Nadal in a doubles match against American Jack Sock and France's Francis Tiafoe
