Liam Fox has been named the new head coach of Dundee United.

Jack Ross was sacked after a 9-0 loss to Celtic.

Stevie Crawford left his job as East Fife boss to rejoin the United coaching staff.

"We have made some small steps in the last few weeks and it's time to get that winning feeling back," said Fox.

After seven games, United are two points adrift at the bottom of the league.

Prior to joining United as an assistant coach, Fox was the first-team coach at Heart of Midlothian.

In his three games in charge, United have lost to Rangers and drawn with Motherwell.

He told the website that he was looking forward to putting a team on the park that the supporters could be proud of.

The supporters at the club want success. The group of players have potential.

Tony Asghar said that Liam was clear in his interview with the Board on how he plans to improve short-term performance and results.

The coaching team will bring new and innovative coaching and game models to the club. Liam's coaching staff will soon be completed by the club.
