Ime Udoka was suspended for the 2022-23 season for violating team policies.

Udoka was suspended immediately after it was reported that he had a consensual intimate relationship with a woman employed by the franchise.

Udoka apologized and agreed with the team's decision.

Since Brad Stevens left to become president of basketball operations, Udoka has led the Celtics. He was in charge of the failed NBA Finals bid against the Warriors.

According to sources, the Celtics have brought in an assistant coach to be their interim head coach. Will Hardy, the team's top assistant coach, left the team to become the Utah Jazz's head coach.
