A man was arrested at Los Angeles International Airport on Wednesday for attacking a flight attendant.
Alexander Tung Cuu Le is scheduled to appear in court on Thursday after he was caught punching a flight attendant in the back of the head in a video being shared on social media.
Le was threatening violence against staffers and loitering away from his seat at the Los Cabos International Airport. Video footage and an affidavit of the complaint against Le show that he punched a flight attendant trying to report him.
Since the incident occurred in the air, Le was taken into custody by the FBI and charged with interfering with a flight crew.
Le is not allowed to fly with American Airlines in the future.
American Airlines does not tolerate acts of violence against their team members. The individual involved in this incident will not be allowed to travel with us in the future.
The crew and passengers on the plane were thanked by the airline for their restraint.
The crew was thanked for their quick action and professionalism to ensure the safety of their fellow team members and customers. Our thoughts are with the injured flight attendant and we are making sure that they and their fellow crew members have the support they need.
