Scorecard

Pakistan beat England by 10 runs in the second Twenty20 match to level the series at one game apiece.

Pakistan's opening pair produced a batting masterpiece in Karachi to seal the win with three balls to spare.

Babar hit a century from 62 balls and Rizwan hit four sixes in 51 balls.

Pakistan set a new record for the highest chase in the shortest form of the game.

Alex Hales' drop of Rizwan on 23 proved to be the crucial moment as England lost a T20 match for the first time.

The tourists looked like they were going to run away with the game at the halfway stage when they had racked up 199-5.

The third match of the seven- match series will be played in Karachi on Friday.

Babar & Rizwan secure famous win

Babar and Rizwan have hit two more century stands than any other opening pair

England returned to Pakistan for the first time in 17 years. Pakistan's supreme captain and vice-captain, Babar and Rizwan, have made their mark in the record books.

The way the pair paced the chase made the total easy to reach.

The New Zealand against Pakistan game in 2016 achieved the highest target without a single loss.

The Pakistan openers, who now have a record seven century stands at the top of the order, started well without being too destructive, but then they launched an assault.

They took 21 from the 13th over, which was taken by England.

By the time Babar was put down on 91, the game was all but over.

The missed stumping chance by Phil Salt and the missed run back by Hales were crucial to the outcome.

Babar drove David Willey for the winning runs after Pakistan needed three from the last over.

After England's comfortable win in the opener, Babar silenced doubts about his form and set the series up nicely.

England put to the sword

England's bowlers were unable to stop the flow of runs on a pitch that became perfect after they looked tricky early on.

The leg-spinner was hit for two sixes and three fours in a three-over spell which cost 34 runs and he was not his usual self.

Wood was given the last over with 20 runs needed but he gave up 17 including three wides.

Mark Wood, Chris Woakes, Chris Jordan and Reece Topley are just a few of the frontline England bowler who are not fit for the World Cup. Wood's pace and Jordan's ability to stop runs were missing.

There is little fault on the part of the England batters.

Ben Duckett hit seven fours and no sixes after Shahnawaz Dahani had removed Hales and Malan.

The 27-year-old was taken down by a sweep by the 22-year-old but after that, it was England's turn to power on.

The left-handed Qadir thumped the leg-spinner for back-to-back sixes early on as he put on 59 with Harry brook, who sparkled again for 31 from 19 balls

After reaching his half-century off the final two balls of the game, off the pace of Mohammad Hasnain, the brilliance of Babar and Rizwan overshadowed the effort.

'Unstoppable' - reaction

The pitch didn't do as much as we were expecting.

A big catch was dropped by us. When I hit my over, the crowd went crazy. After that they were unstoppable.

Steven Finn said that 160 would have been a good score and difficult to chase down. Both bowling attacks will stop.
