North Island is a private island resort with just 11 private villas. Marriott points can be redeemed for a stay in the North Island. Rates start at 385,000 points per night, which is much higher than other Marriott properties.

One of the villas has a private plunge pool and ocean views. When you redeem points, you can get a fifth night free, but you have to redeem 300,000 points for a free night.

If you have a lot of Marriott points, you can redeem them for a stay on North Island. On many dates, you can get a good redemption rate, but you will still have to pay for the helicopter transfer and food and drinks.

You can book private islands and space flights with points.

Calala Island

The cost in points is between 35,000 and 40,000.

Calala Island is a private island located in the Caribbean Sea. Most of the activities at the resort and the round-trip transfer from Managua are included with the nightly rate.

Calala Island is one of the best ways to redeem World of Hyatt points. You will share the island with seven other people because there are only four rooms. The minimum stay is three nights on most days.

Waldorf Astoria Maldives Ithaafushi

It isn't a private island, but resorts in theMaldives are so private you won't even notice One of the best resorts in the island nation has opened its doors in the last year, and it is owned by the same company. Brian Kelly, the Points Guy, had the chance to stay at this property at the end of the year and he wishes he had more than four nights.

What's the best part? The base room, which is more than 3,000 square feet, is right on the beach and has an overwater terrace and private plunge pool, and you can use yourHiltonHonors points for it.

It will be difficult to find standard room reward availability. If you do, it will be worthwhile. This property embodies what it means to have a vacation in a foreign land.

Which island chain should you go to?

The Ritz-Carlton Maldives, Fari Islands

You can find standard award availability at The Ritz-Carlton. Marriott now uses dynamic award pricing. You can redeem Marriott points for a stay of five or more nights on most dates.

You can take a high-speed boat between Male and the resort instead of using a seaplane, which is one of the benefits of the Ritz-Carlton. You are less dependent on the weather. Even if you redeem Marriott points for your stay, these transfers will not be cheap. The price is per person round trip.

The on-site experience includes personalized service and gorgeous villas. midday tea and morning yoga are available on site.

You can get points for booking overwater bungalows.

Al Maha, a Luxury Collection Desert Resort and Spa, Dubai

Many all-inclusive resorts don't give you your money's worth because they skimp on the food and drink offerings. It's one of the best uses of Marriott Bonvoy points because Al Maha does it different.

Awards include everything but alcohol and entitle you to three meals and two desert activities a day. You can either dine in the comfort of your villa or in the main restaurant, which overlooks the vast expanse of desert. Whether you want Western dishes or something more local, the food is topnotch.

There are a number of complimentary activities, from camel rides to archery. dune bashing and horse riding will cost you more. Most guests enjoy their Bedouin suite. The base room for Marriott Bonvoy elites is 807 square feet and comes with a private patio and pool.

Is Al Maha worth spending a lot of money on?

If you want to go to French Polynesia with Marriott Bonvoy points, you should look at the St. There are a lot of restaurants on-site. A garden villa with an ocean view and a private pool is the base level room you can book.

One of the most recognizable cityscapes on the planet is the Harbour Bridge and the Opera House. Tourists and business travelers will love the hotel's location. It is located in the middle of the central business district and has easy access to ferries that take you to some of the nicer beaches.

Thanks to Hyatt, you can book this fantastic hotel for 35,000 points per night on off-peak dates. Awards often net you a view of the road rather than the water views you might be hoping for. The rooftop pool has great views and the rooms have spa-style baths.

Hyatt points are transferred from Chase Ultimate rewards. Even if you don't have a lot of World of Hyatt points in your account, signing up for a Chase card can make this possible.

Those with World of Hyatt points were able to take advantage of many new possibilities when Hyatt acquired Two Roads.

The property is located off of the Pacific Coast Highway and is one of the most scenic parts of California.

The whole resort has a very luxurious feel to it. The property is set among trees with the ocean in the background. The hot tub overlooks the beautiful mountain landscape and impossibly tall trees.

Hyatt points can be earned at a campsite in California.

Bottom line

If you have a lot of points, you can go to resorts around the world that are not open to the public. If you sign up for a specific credit card and earn a big welcome bonus, you'll be able to start planning.

You can treat yourself to something spectacular once you have those points in your possession.
