The 2022-23 NBA season is expected to feature an interim head coach, according to the report.
Udoka committed an "unspecified violation of organizational guidelines" that could result in a significant punishment. An improper intimate and consensual relationship with a female member of the team staff was reported by Shams Charania.
Udoka has been Boston's head coach for two years. He helped to guide the Celtics to a 51-31 record and an NBA finals appearance in 2021.
