Donald Trump referred to himself as a former president in an interview.

On Wednesday, Trump spoke to Sean Hannity. The FBI's investigation into his handling of classified information after he left office was one of the investigations he was interviewed on.

In the interview, Trump talked about the security at his Mar-a-Lago residence, where FBI agents retrieved a lot of government records.

We had good security. We had a lot of Secret Service and they are amazing. They are all over Mar-a-Lago, as happens to a former president.

"I don't like using the word 'former' because I have a lot of problems with what happened," Trump said.

Trump was referring to his refusal to concede defeat in the 2020 election to Joe Biden and his continued promotion of baseless claims that the election was stolen from him.

The Secret Service detail given to former presidents has been accepted by Trump.

Several reports that he privately admits that he lost, contrast with the public claims that he should be president.
