Federer admits to being nervous for final appearance (1:21)

Roger is about to play his last tennis match on Friday. There is a time and a place for it.

The final professional match of Roger's career will take place on Friday in London, and he will play with his older rival.

At Thursday's draw, it was confirmed that Nadal will play for Team Europe against the Americans on Friday night, as well as for Team World against the Americans on Saturday morning. Matteo Berrettini will take over for the rest of the event for Switzerland's Roger.

Playing alongside 22-time Slam champion Nadal would be a unique way to go out, according to Roger Federer, who is retiring because of an ongoing right knee issue.

For as long as we battled, having this respect for one another, our families, coaching teams, for us as well to go through a career we both have had, is a great message to tennis and beyond.

The O2 Arena will host the first two singles matches on Friday. The US Open runner-up will play the American in the opener, followed by the Greek and Argentine players.

The evening session will begin with a match between Andy Murray and Alex de Minaur before the final match of the day between Roger Federer and Juan Martin del Potro.
