Tucker Carlson wonders why nobody can explain the Watergate scandal.
Nixon won 49 states in the Electoral College in the 1972 election, according to a Fox News host.
Franklin D. Roosevelt had a higher Electoral College margin of victory.
Carlson lied about the Watergate scandal in the beginning of the segment.
No one can explain why he was gone six months after he was disgraced.
Government agencies, including the FBI, were to blame for that.
Carlson said something about Nixon and Watergate.
Tucker Carlson implying that the deep state took out Richard Nixon, because "no one can explain Watergate to this day," is too perfect. There's a literal recording of Nixon talking about paying off the Watergate burglars, and how best to do it! pic.twitter.com/vH4bUKcWjr

The answers given by Nixon can be used to explain Carlson's claim that "no one can explain" the scandal.
The Washington Post's Bob Woodward and Carl Bernstein reported in 1972 that transcripts of White House meetings showed Nixon discussing ways to pay Watergate criminals.
According to the transcripts, Nixon ordered White House counsel John W. Dean III to come up with $210,000 to pay for one of the Watergate break ins.
According to the newspaper, the transcripts show Nixon wanted to pay the burglars to keep the cap on the bottle.
The tape of a conversation between Nixon and Haldeman was made public, as well as the former president's cover-up in the scandal that led to Nixon's resignation.
