According to the Department of Homeland Security's chief of staff, Donald Trump once asked his team to find murderers, rapists, and criminals at the border and send them to Democrat-run cities.
During an appearance on CNN this week, Taylor said that Texas Gov. Greg Abbott and Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis have been sending migrants to New York and Martha's Vineyard.
Taylor wrote an article in The New York Times that said there was a resistance within the Trump administration. He dislikes the former president a lot.
Taylor told CNN that Donald Trump ordered them to take immigrants from the border and dump them in blue states.
Taylor said that Trump was more specific. He wanted us to identify the murderers, the rapists, and the criminals so that we didn't incarcerate them and put them in those cities.
Taylor talked about what his team did.
It doesn't take a genius to know that this would be very illegal. He wanted to know if it was possible to take people from the border and just dump them in blue states. The lawyers said that the federal government couldn't do that.
Taylor said that his team had told the White House that it would be illegal to carry out the plan.
Taylor re-posted a thread from November 2020 in which he detailed the "foolish, unethical, un- America, and/or illegal things" that Trump had asked him to do. Taylor said that Trump told him to "bus thousands and thousands of illegal immigrants to Democratic sanctuary cities to create instability and turmoil."
"DeSantis and Abbott are resurrecting zombie Trump policies that we said were illegal, one of the reasons I quit and warned not to re-elect him," Taylor wrote. Trumpism is still going strong, and his followers are taking it to the next level.
