A decision on the length of Udoka's suspension could come on Thursday.

Udoka was hired by the Celtics in the summer of 2011. Udoka worked with the San Antonio Spurs, Philadelphia 76ers and Brooklyn Nets.

The C's won their first Eastern Conference title in five years under Udoka's leadership. The Boston Celtics lost to the Golden State Warriors.

Adam Himmelsbach of the Boston Globe said that a suspension is probable.

Celtics coach Ime Udoka is facing a likely suspension for a violation of team rules, a league source confirms. @wojespn first to report the news.

The nature of Udoka's reported violation was not immediately clear. Adam Kaufman of WBZ NewsRadio gave some context on the issue.

The most noteworthy part of this reported impending Ime Udoka "significant suspension" is that it's coming from the #Celtics, not the league. That and, of course, the fact the violation hasn't been immediately reported.

The Celtics will open their season on October 18th against the 76ers. It's possible that Udoka won't be on the sideline for that game.
